Color Dare #3 Challenge Plus

Complimentary Colors
Lilac Mist    Taffy

Complimentary colors are two colors that sit directly opposite from one another on the color wheel. For this challenge the complimentary colors are Dutch Blue & Sorbet with an options of Lilac Mist & Taffy. So, as for me one of my favorite colors is Lilac Mist but....I really really don't care for Taffy at all. A while back I decided to use up all my 12 X 12 Taffy and now with the new packaging can't get any more. So...had to really dig for scraps for this project.

Bonus points this week: I know there is something in the Idea Book you have been wanting to try, but haven't gotten around to yet. Now's your chance. BONUS POINTS if you make a project inspired by something out of the current Idea Book!!!! As always, you must use some CTMH products, but if you use 100% current CTMH products, you get bonus points (they are helpful when I decide on the winners, but not absolutely necessary.)
Every time I cruise through the Idea Book I really wanted to try the project on page 18. This seemed like my chance to try since I only had a few scraps of Taffy. I also wanted to try the background texture on the 3 X 3 card on page 71. I used Lilac Mist tone on tone stamping for that piece. The Taffy piece is embossed with dotted swiss and sanded for texture.
Come and get inspired by this weekly challenge at Color My Heart. It is fun, fun, fun. You won't want to miss.

Jody, This card is so pretty! I have been wanting to try that one too, but it just seems so lavish! Especially the envelope! I hope whoever receives this card will appreciate it, because it's gorgeous! Thanks for joining in at the color dare.

Isn't that stamp set the most versatile thing? LOVE the way you used the color combo this week. Nice job on the background stamping. The coordinating envelope is the perfect touch!
