Heart 2 Heart Meets

An Atlantic Hearts Sketch
The challenge at Heart 2 Heart is to use a product from the new Holiday Expressions. One of my favorite products in the new Holiday Expressions Idea Book is the new Holiday  Kitchen Recipe Kit. It will be so nice to have all my holiday recipes in one place instead of looking up recipes in 6 different books. I used the leftovers from my kit to make this card.
I used 4 letters in a row instead of 4 trees from the sketch at Atlantic Hearts.
Be sure to check out the Holiday Recipe kit and keep all your holiday recipes in one spot.
Be sure to check out Atlantic Hearts for a new sketch each Monday.

Heart 2 Heart Meets

Color My Heart
With a sketch from Atlantic Hearts
The ribbon challenge at Heart 2 Heart gives me a
chance to do one of my favorite thing with ribbon.
After altering the cover of a spiral notebook I like to
add some ribbons on the spirals. Then I add ribbon
to the coordinating RSVP pen to complete the set.
Makes a nice gift for someone special.

The colors for this project are from the fun Tic Tac Toe
challenge at Color My Heart. I used the ones on the
bottom: Peacock, Peach, and Glacier. These papers
come from the beautiful Boutique paper pack.

And now another amazing sketch from Atlantic Hearts
gave me the layout for this project. If you need
inspiration for a new sketch design be sure to

Fun Sketch at Atlantic Hearts

Left Overs From Holiday Kitchen
When the holidays come around at our house it's time to bring out all the recipe books to make all the holiday goodies. We use at least 6 different books to put together the holiday dinners and the holiday treats. Now...they can be all in one place. Thank you CTMH and the new Holiday Kitchen Recipe Kit
After making my recipe cards I used the left overs
to make some fun cards.
The Sketch from Atlantic Hearts makes a
 really nice greeting card.

South of the Border

The Colors of Mexico
Green represents Hope, White stands for
purity, and Red symbolized the
color of blood for those who died fighting
for Mexico's independence.
Merry Christmas to our neighbors to the South.

creations at Heart 2 Heart.

Color Dare #310

 Fun With Kraft Cardstock
Stamping on Kraft cardstock with white pigment ink gives a fun and country look to any card.  After stamping the image with white pigment ink, I used first generation Ruby for the center flower and second generation Ruby for the surrounding flowers. The leaves are stamped with second generation Peacock. Adding a few White pigment ink splatters finish the look. The greeting is stamped with first generation Peacock.

Be sure to share your creations with Kraft, Peacock,
and Ruby colors at Color My Heart. You still one
week to play with these colors.

I just couldn't wait to try a shaker card with this cute

to the shaker kits for an easier time making one.
In the mean time here's my Hoppy Birthday card
for my honey bunny. Is that bunny cute or what?
Actually all the punny pals are adorable. Be sure to get

Those Were the Days

Of Heavy Metal
For my heavy metal I had to go back all the way to 2009 and the Wishes Card Confidence Program. Those were the days of metal rimmed tags, metal bookplates, Pewter designer brads, brads of all sizes, photo clips, photo hangers, hinges, safety pins, ribbon slides, edge anchors, and on and on.  Oh, we don't want to forget about those eyelets. Those were the heavy metal days at CTMH.
This card is the Delightful Dots pattern from Wishes. I used the round metal bookplate and the pewter designer brad for my heavy metal. To update my card I used a color combination from the new Love of Color inspiration guide. The colors are Carolina, Sapphire, Lilac, and Pebble.
Now it's your turn to show us your heavy metal at Heart 2 Heart

Fun With Layers

At Heart 2 Heart
Adding layers to your cards give texture
and dimension. It could add to the postage but
if you hand deliver that will solve the problem.
The background has three layers with a card on top.
The card has a thanks giving greeting with a layer
of banners topped with a flower and a popped up heart.
Strips of paper decorate the bottom.
The finishing touch is a layer of baker's twine and
enamel gems on the flowers.
Now let's see your layers at Heart 2 Heart.

A Little Bit of a Sneaky Peak

 At Atlantic Hearts
I've been working on my Open House goodies with the new Tri Annual Idea Book. While working with "Hello Pumpkin" paper pack I just couldn't resist making a card using the sketch at Atlantic Hearts. The cats and BOO are Cricut cuts. This sketch would be great with all the new paper packs. Off to make more.
Using this sketch with the new paper packs shows the new prints, colors, and themes. Will post more later.

Color Dare #302

Glacier, Mink, and Bashful

With the NEW Guidelines at Color My Heart for neutrals I was able to add Charcoal
to my card. Made it so  much more fun. I used the light side of Mink for the wavy
bottom and the darker side for the leaves. Then came my dilemma. I usually like to
stamp my images as much as possible so I stamped these flowers from the
Beautiful Friendship stamp set, cut them out and attached to the card.
Then I looked at the card made by Sue Bruch and I wanted to make flowers
with my stitched flower set from MFT.  Now I can't decide which card I like better.
What do you think?

Color Dare #300

It's Been Six Years
Since the first Color Dare came on the scene, I remember when Sarah Stone invited Close to My Heart consultants to come and play at the new Color Dare challenge. And...I was there. You can visit my first post at Color My Heart HERE. Time really does go by fast at my age. Thanks Sarah.
And... six years later I still love playing at Color My Heart. To get the soft colors on my card I stamped the image in permanent black ink on water color paper. Then I placed one drop of  Bashful, Mink, and Pacifica re-inker on an acrylic block. I used the water brush to water color the image. Fun and easy.

Join the contest and design a special project with these colors and win a medium size box of fun Close to My Heart products. Be sure to post your project at Color My Heart.
