October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. We will be featuring October's SOTM, "Holiday Warmth." This is a set of 11 stamps that I have used to make some Christmas Cards. If you have come from Carol's Blog, you are on the right path.

Our hop has grown so much that we had made three separate rounds. If you are starting your hop here at my blog I am in Round 3. After my blog you can hop over to Wanda's blog to hop through this round. Be sure to visit all the rounds! You can start with Round 1 at Jena's blog, Round 2 at Debra's blog, and Round 3 starts at Judy's blog.

I prefer traditional colors for Christmas so I used Evensong Paper Pack for my cards. The Christmas tree has sparkles on the tree and my "i"s are dotted with a sparkle.
The "joy" card is first and second generation New England Ivy stamping. I used a small punched snowflake to dot my "j".
For this wreath card I wanted to use up my old red sparkles but you can use brads or punched circles if you don't have red sparkles.
The wreath is cut using colluzle and stamped on the back side of the BTP from Evensong with the snowflake. The background is a random stamped snowflake first and second generation New England Ivy.
Now Hop over to Wanda's blog to see her fantastic creation.

Wednesday Wishes Meets Color Me Monday

My first look at these colors immediately made me think of Christmas. I have been working on the cards for the Christmas Card Workshop so naturally I had Christmas on my mind when these colors popped up on Jeanette's blog. After looking over my Wednesday Wishes history I discovered I don't have many more designs to choose from before I will need to duplicate.
This time I decided to make some round card designs. I made the round cards according to the blue prints in Wishes and then attached them to the front of a 4.75 square card so they will fit perfectly into a CD envelope. For more ideas using this concept see You Spin Me Right 'Round (July 22) on Jeanette's blog.
These two cards are "Timeless Trio" and "Side Note" from Wishes. I used Vintage Christmas(D1166) and the new Card Chatter-Christmas(D1388). The New England Ivy is the 4.75 square card base, the holly leaves ink and the button. Cranberry is the berry ink, button, and ribbon. the Sweet Leaf is the btp from Boom-Di-Ada and the Desert Sand is card stock, ink and btp from Simple Pleasures.

Wednesday Wishes Meets Color Me Monday

Celebrating Grateful Hearts

Colors of Gratitude: Autumn Terracotta, Goldrush, Sweet Leaf, and Cocoa. Jeanette's blog got me to thinking about gratitude and blessings. For the last few days I have been counting my blessings:

  1. Jesus my Savior
  2. Floyd my husband of 41 years
  3. My Mom(A treasure for life)
  4. Mikel & Carrie my children
  5. Grand Kids(all 6 of them)
  6. All my friends(too many to name but if you're reading this then you are one)
  7. My Close to my Heart Business
  8. Our Home(an unexpected blessing from the Lord)
  9. Good Health
That lead me to one of my favorite "new" stamp sets "Grateful Hearts"(C1372) so I decided to use it for my Wishes card this week. The card designs are "Collage" and "Sundial" from Wishes.
Celebrate with me your grateful heart and leave your list of blessings in a comment below. By making a comment, you’ll be automatically entered in a random drawing I’ll conduct on Wednesday, September 23 where 1 lucky winner will receive the stamp set Grateful Hearts(c1372) to add to your stamping empire. This stamp set is on page 40 in the Autumn/Winter Idea Book.

Wednesday Wishes Meet Color Me Monday

Another Color Me Monday challenge from Jeanette. I wanted to use new paper and stamps from the new Autumn/Winter Idea Book but Twitterpated had the crystal blue/sweet leaf and Jingle had the tulip and they definitely did not mix. Oh, what to do?

So I decided to use the Twitterpated paper(X7118B) with the coordinating Many Thanks(D1371) stamp set. That meant the leaves would need to be tulip (a little out of the box for me). I stamped the leaves second generation and ink the edges and added the sentiment with tulip as well. Added a little sweet leaf ribbon with a polka dotted heart from the Grow With Love(D1372) stamp set and they're ready to go.
