Color Dare #87

It's Time to Play with Ivy Lane
This week I was invited to be a guest designer for Color My Heart
just as I was making my annual Easter treat containers for my family.
Since purple is the color of the day for this family I was playing
with Ivy Lane when the call came. Great timing!
Just in case you don't have this paper pack you can play along using
blush, hollyhock, smokey plum, and some
garden green if you still have some.

My treat container is a tin can covered with the green B&T and wrapped with
the zip strip from the same page. The handle is a 1.25" X 11" cardstock scalloped
with our scallop border punch. A 1/2" strip of B&T is adhered down the center
of the handle. To make the bunny punch a 2" cardstock scallop circle. Ears are
made with 4" flower #6 (Art Philosophy) and 1.25" Petal #2 (Art Philosophy).
To make eyes punch two white 1/2" circles, two 3/8" black circles and one
1/2" blush circle cut in half. The whiskers are bakers twine and the nose is a 1/2"
heart. The mouth is drawn with a black pen. Ready to add your favorite treats.

So grab you Ivy Lane paper pack or the colors from the pack and share
your creations with us this week at Color My Heart.

Color Dare #86

Ponderosa Pine, New England Ivy, and Goldrush
are the featured colors in this week's challenge at Color My Heart.
Been wanting to play with my new stamp "Hope."  My favorite coloring
trick is to stamp with a dark green and color in with the blending pen
before the ink dries. This requires a dark green so I used Ponderosa pine
to stamp the image. The flowers are colored with the blending pen
and goldrush ink. "Hope" is stamped with goldrush and paper
pieced over the original green letters. Quick & easy.
Take the challenge and share at Color My Heart.

Color Dare #85

A Water Color Effect
With Hollyhock, Autumn Terracotta, and Barn Red
Using the backside of  a flower stamp from the stamp set "Enjoy the Little Things"
stamp first generation ink off to second generation. Give the second generation
ink a soft spritz of water with the spray pen. Stamp the wet ink on a
piece of white daisy cardstock. After the ink is dry turn the stamp
over to the right side, ink and stamp the flower
on the water colored spot. Cut your flower out and use as desired.
The colors this week at Color My Heart work really well for this technique.
Happy coloring and share with us at Color My Heart.

Colors of Skylark
Juniper Lagoon Sweet Leaf & Skylark Yellow
Skylark is one of my favorite paper packs in the 2014 Spring/Summer Idea Book.
To make this card I embossed 3/4 of the top of the card. I used the backside
of the embossed piece to make a different texture. I cut two1 inch cricut bows
and one 3/4 inch bow for the border. Adding some B&T to the bottom and a
ticket made from a card in Picture My Life with a bug and a heart complete
this card. Now it's your turn to share your Skylark creation at Color My Heart.
