Celebrating Freedom

On Memorial Day

Remembering those who gave their lives so that we could

enjoy the freedoms of this great nation is and honor and privilege.

Celebrate the lives of the brave and be thankful

for the great sacrifice of all our military servicemen.

USA- Home of the free because of the brave.

May the Lord bless each one richly as they serve Him

and our country. God bless the USA.

There's A Graduate

In The House

Last night we attended the graduation ceremony of my last born grand child.

Lots of celebrating, hugs and tears as his mother was presented with a rose by

Zachary. The rose presentation is always my favorite part and I was so proud

of Zachary and his mother. Zachary's father passed away when he was five so

it's been my daughter who's been mom and dad for these twelve years.

This is the card I made for Zachary's graduation. I used the

sketch below from Freshly Made Sketches.

With Artfully Sent

The CTMH Cricut cartridge Artfully Sent will sadly retire on July 31.

If you haven't had a chance to purchase that cartridge I will be 

sharing card samples each Saturday until July 31. 

My first Saturday Scene is this fun bicycle card. I was inspired by this

card on Pinterest and wanted to make it with the new Calypso papers. Also,

the bicycle works just great for the transportation challenge at Heart2Heart.

The inside is has a pop out bicycle heading down the road,

with a summer sun and some floating clouds.

Friday Fun Folds

With Color My Heart Colors

Fun Summer colors are happening at Color My Heart this week.

Lagoon, Crystal Blue, Thistle, and Pear are sure some poppin' colors.

For my card I've been wanting to try one of those awning cards I

have been seeing on Pinterest. With my left over bicycle from

another card I got the idea to make a "Summer Rental" awning card.

Then came the Color My Heart summer colors and out came this card.

Inside of card (Note: the taller cards stand better when it has

some added B & T to the inside.)

Oh, this card also plays with the Fun Folds at Heart 2 Heart. Or

it could play at the Transportation Challenge at Heart 2 Heart if

bicycles and surf boards are your mode of transportation. Anyway,

you have all week to play at Color My Heart and until the end of

the month to play at Heart 2 Heart.

We're Having a Party

With a graduate in the house it's time to party. 

The sketch at Atlantic Hearts

seamed to be just perfect for the party announcement.

 And... the colors: Sapphire, Pacifica, Crystal Blue with

Black & White Daisy at Color My Heart worked out great.

Color My Heart

At Heart 2 Heart

With Georgie colors at Color My Heart(Canary, Champagne, 

Juniper, Whisper and Slate) and Baby Love at Heart 2 Heart

 this seemed like the perfect fit to show my border creations. 

I recently have been creating borders for my monthly scrapbook classes. 

There are a variety of themes to choose from and "baby" was one. 

I used the approved How to Patterns from Reflections: Main Frame-Tied Together

for this page. This page used the side bar borders from my "baby" border collection.

A Some Kind of Awesome Sketch

 At Atlantic Hearts

 This week at Atlantic Hearts has an awesome sketch that I used for

a birthday gift box.  In January I made a birthday reminder pocket

book. I asked all my customers and down line to sign the book on

their birthday. Now, just for this year I am making birthday gifts

for all who have signed my book. 

This is the birthday gift for my May girls. I also made a handmade

gift box to coordinate with the gift. I really enjoyed using the sketch

at Atlantic Hearts to design my gift box.

This card was made using the sketch below from Atlantic Hearts

The flowers were stamped with Fern, Canary, Cotton Candy, and Glacier.

The gold is the sequin in the center of the flower and the gold accented ribbon.

At Color My Heart

Shades of Orange: Poppy. Sunset, Sorbet

are now playing at Color My Heart Color Dare. 

I just loved the card by Vicki Wizniuk and had to make one. I used

the new papers (Poppy) from the Florence paper pack and some retired papers

(Sorbet) from Charlotte paper pack (will miss) and some Sunset Cardstock.
