Tag, You're It!

Heart 2 Heart Tag Challenge

This week's challenge at H2H is all about tags. Tags are very versatile and have plenty of uses. Also, when you make a tag you can use your scraps. For my project I made a collection of tags with the new Chantilly paper pack. Then I used the box from retired My Creations Memory Game to make a container for the tags.  Things seam to be retiring before I can use them so it's nice to use up the old stuff along with the scraps.

Thank you tag can be added to a card or thank you gift.

Encouragement tag can be added to a gift or scrapbook page as an embellishment.

A "B" monogram tag for Baby, Birthday, or Belle.

Just a little masculine tag for that special boy.

Sweet as Honey: sounds like a title for a scrapbook page or a mini tag album.

Just a reminder that there are many Happy Days in our lives.

Expanding into Home Decor

If you have come from Pamela Ellison's Clearly Crafty Corner you are on the right path. I've been having fun with the new Home Decor Ideas and decided to make a paper quilt block in a shadow box.

It has always been fun to decorate any room with fabrics. Being a seamstress I was always decorating with home sewn fun. Now, I find that decorating with paper can be just as fun. In 1979 my Mom gave me a quilt book with patterns inspired by the Bible. I never did get around to sewing one so I decided to try one with our new Chantilly and Surf's Up paper packs. This quilt pattern is called "Children of Israel." The center quote from Jane Austin is from our February Stamp Of the Month "Home Sweet Home" The quilt block is displayed in a shadow box and accented with some of my Grandmothers painted china.

Color My Heart Color Dare #28

Six "Odd" Colors?

I would not have thought to put together. If you have not experienced the colors at Color My Heart

yet, this one is a real fun challenge. Sarah has gone color "wild" this week. She calls these odd colors and I agree, they are really odd. I do want to say that the Design Team did an amazing job with these colors and I hope you all visit Color My Heart to see their amazing creations.

As for me, I saw flowers when I saw these colors. So here is my Happy Hello Spring Flower purse with Hershey Nuggets to go inside. I really had to go into the archives to find some Gypsy B&T(Hooligans), Juniper Ribbon (Jingle), and Cotton Candy B&T(Lucy). The rest of the project is current product.

Open House Party Treats

New products featured in the Spring/Summer Idea Book were used to make Free Gifts 

for those who attended my CTMH Open House. Each person was given ways to 

earn tickets which were used in a ticket drawing for these candy treats.

It's A New Month at Heart 2 Heart

And It's Home Decor Time

Close to My Heart has been featuring Home Decor Ideas in the new Spring/Summer Idea Book. With the My Creations products available Home Decor has become fun and easy. I've used the new 6 X 6 Canvass Display for my canvass art that can sit on my shelf an inspire me to remember that God is in control.

I used the new For Always textile fabric for my background. To attach the fabric to the canvass I use Wonder Under to attach fabric to fabric. It's an iron on adhesive for fabrics and very easy to use. Everything else is attached with glue dots. To prevent fading I used the black StazOn ink for the stamping.

Purses on Parade

At My Open House

Had my open house today to party with the new Spring Summer Idea Book. 

I made the purses from the Artiste Cricut cartridge and filled them with 

coordinating covered Hershey Nuggets. My guest could then earn tickets

 to put in for a drawing to win a purse. All purses were 

made using new product from the new Idea Book.

A Clair Denim Bag has a cute front pocket and it closes using the hook & loop dots.

Sending warn wishes with Buzz & Bumble. Flower center is a new artisan stud.

Hello bag from Chantilly has a ruffle made with the new Chantilly textile.

For Always gift bag features the new glitter rimmed black buttons.
