12 Days of Christmas

Inspired by Make It From Your Heart
When I saw this post on Make It From Your Heart I decided to use
this idea to make my Mom her birthday present. Since my Mom
was born on the 12th day of Christmas we wanted to celebrate it
with twelve days of Christmas Birthday gifts... a gift for each day from
Christmas until her birthday. The colors are inspired by the
color challenge at Color My Heart: Ruby and New England Ivy.
12 Days of Christmas Birthday Basket
Day 1 a hand stamped paper bag wraps a loaf  of  persimmon pudding
Day 2 a cookie bag filed with Christmas cookies.
Day 3 A decorated envelope with a bookmark inside
Hugs and Kisses for day 11
Day 5 Her favorite: Red Vines
Day 7 A box of Hershey Nuggets
Day 8 A post it holder with a 2015 calendar for her purse
Day 6 A can of the yummy Party Chex mix
Day 9 A note pad to keep all those important notes
Day 4 a box of hand stamped cards
Day 6 top of can with Chex Party Mix
Day 10 A magnet saying for the refrigerator
Day 11 Hugs and Kisses
Day 12 the birthday present in a hand made box with kraft cs.

Join the fun with Ruby and New England Ivy and share with us at
Color My Heart. I'm off to make some New Years Cards with these colors.

Packaging the Money Gifts

This Year For Christmas
This year my husband and I decided to give cash for Christmas giving.
I didn't want to just but the money in a card so I  gathered up some
ideas on Pinterest. I incorporated the money with a Christmas candy treat.
Mason jar full of Christmas M & Ms with some cash inserted
in a tube in the center of the jar.
Mason jar with Christmas M & Ms, Hugs, and Kisses.
The lid has three candles, two are rolled twenty dollars bills.
Plastic water bottle filled with Christmas candies and
rolled dollar bills. To fill the bottle cut an opening in the
side of the bottle, fill with treats and money, close the opening
and cover with Christmas B&T paper. Cover lid with coordinating
fabric and attach  with a ribbon.
A suitcase with Hershey nuggets wrapped in money.
Snowman has a twenty dollar bill scarf.
Clear box with Ghirardelli chocolates wrapped with
twenty dollar bills. Container filled with Hugs and Kisses.
Soup can with pop top is filled with chocolates, a roll of
quarters, and some dollar bills. This gift is for my brother who
usually comes up short on parking change at the beach. Hope
this will help.To make this container cut the bottom off a
pop top can. Clean can, fill with goodies and reseal the bottom
lid with liquid glass. Decorate the can as desired.
Nugget box with Money tree.

Happy Christmas and
Merry New Year to you and yours.

Color Dare #120

Christmas Tags With Fall Colors
It's cold and snowy for most of the country but here in sunny
California it's warm and sunny. I finished my fall projects last month
and have moved on to Christmas. So the fall color challenge at
Color My Heart works great for some Christmas tags.
Christmas tags packaged in a glassine bag.

We are currently getting ready to have our entire home re-carpeted.
So... that means packing everything and moving it out for the carpet
installers. Oh..so much work. Need to chill out and stamp but not
much time. So here you have my 10 minute tags:
Load Cricut sticky sheet with White Daisy and cut Artiste tags- 2 mins.
Load mat with scraps of Barn Red, Goldrush, Olive, & Glacier and cut tickets- 2 mins.
Stamp 4 tickets from the Yuletide Carol WOTG stamps set- 1.5 min.
Stamp Washi tape images on bottom of tags using the 5 colors- 1.5 mins.
Stamp twigs, North pole, and DEC 25 on the tags- 1 min.
Edge each tag in coordinating color and add punched tag hole- 1 min.
Attach tickets to tags with glue dots and add string- 1 min.
Clean up the mess later. Gotta go pack some more.
So grab your Barn Red, Olive, Glacier, Lagoon, and Goldrush and make
a Fall creation or Christmas Creation to share at Color My Heart.
CTMH Supplies:
Cardstock: Barn Red, Olive, Goldrush, Glacier
Stamps: Holiday Tags, Yuletide Carol WOTG, Washi Wonder
