Thank You Lord

Just a Little Prayer
for all the victims of hurricane Sandy.
May the Lord be with all those who have suffered loss and may He give them
His strength each day as they regain their daily lives.

Also, May the Lord give strength and wisdom to all  first responders, rescue workers,
Governors, and the re-builders of this great devastation. Our thoughts and prayers
are with all each day as our nation works together to build back that which was lost.
May the peace of God, which passes all understanding,
keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Philippians 4:13

Pumpkin Time

Time to Give Thanks
This week at Heart 2 Heart we can choose Halloween or Pumpkins.

I've been wanting to make a pumpkin using circles and different paper prints.
This one is easy: it takes two 1 3/4" circles and one oval for the center.
The stem is made with the burlap ribbon.
A raffia bow is added for some Fall texture.
Question: Halloween or Pumpkins? Share with us at Heart 2 Heart.

Color Dare #15

Color My Heart is Back
We've been missing Sarah and her color dares. This week at Color My Heart
she took us back to summer colors with Lagoon, Pear, and Creme Brulee.

My card is a pattern from Make it From Your Heart #24.
The roses from the stamp set Love Blooms are layered by cutting
out sections of each rose and layering them with pop ups. The coloring
technique is the base and shade technique showing Here. The
leaves are inked with Creme Brulee with the edges rolled in Pear.
Now, grab these summer colors and make us a surprise to share at Color My Heart.

Cardstock: Lagoon, Creme Brulee, Colonial White
Stamps: Love Blooms, Words of Comfort

Heart 2 Heart Inspired By #46

Christmas With the Jewels
I was working on my card for the Inspired By challenge when the
Christmas challenge came up at Heart 2 Heart
One card for two challenges always makes my day.

Christmas cards are always fun this time of the year. I used the
October Stamp of the Month for the ornament with the
Pear & Partridge Paper Pack.

I used the pewter and the pearls from this inspiration
photo to adorn my Christmas ornament. Also, dangled
with some ribbon using the pewter pin clip.
Now it's your turn to share with us your Christmas creation at Heart 2 Heart
or share a creation using the inspiration photo at Inspired By.

Milk Carton Fun

Trick or Treats
When Laurel put up the milk carton photo on her Inspired By challenge I
decided to give our Cricut Artiste cartridge milk carton a try.
It turned out pretty easy to make.
Each year I make Ashley and Zach a special trick or treat
container holding their favorite candy treat.

So the blue carton is for Zach full of skittles and
the orange carton is for Ashley full of Reese's Pieces
Thanks Laurel for this inspiration photo. I probably would not have
make milk cartons for trick or treats but this was really fun and different.
Now it's your turn to share with us at Inspired By.

An Invitation to Prayer

One Minute Each Night
2 Chronicles 7:14.'If my people, which are called by my name
shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face and turn from their
wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and
will heal their land.

As the election  approaches we have a serious decision regarding the course of our country. This is the time to be on our knees. If you believe in God then we can take Him at His word! When we call on His name and believe we can stand back and watch His wonders unfold.

During WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill, who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute, to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace. This had an amazing effect, as bombing stopped. There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in  America .The United States of America , and our citizens, need prayer more than ever.  If you would like to participate, each evening at 9:00 P.M. Eastern Time (8 PM Central, 7 PM Mountain, 6 PM Pacific), stop whatever you're doing, and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, for peace in the world, the upcoming election, that the Bible will remain the basis for the laws governing our land, and that Christianity will grow in the U.S.

Someone said if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have. Please join me in your time zone for the One Minute Prayer. Thank You.
God Bless you and the USA, Jody

It's Rollin' at Heart 2 Heart

Sweet Baby Rollin'
This week at Heart 2 Heart we're rollin' our stamps to get a
defined edge on the stamped image. The process is simple: Ink your
image with a light color ink and roll the edges in a darker color.
For the letters "baby" I stamped in smoothie and stamped off leaving
the second generation smoothie on the letter. Then I rolled the letter
again in the smoothie ink pad and stamped the letter on my piece
of white daisy cardstock  Fun and easy technique. Now get out your
stamps and ink and start rollin'.  Be sure to share your
creation with us at Heart 2 Heart.
