Operation Smile

Technique Tutorial
Water Color with Shimmer Brush

Stamp Image with Intense Black Ink on White Daisy Card Stock

Color image with water color pencils. (Water color pencils give you 24 fabulous colors that co-ordinate with all our papers).  Brush the colored image with your clear shimmer brush. The clear shimmer brush acts like a water brush but it leave a shimmer to your finished image.
Use colors to coordinate with your papers.
I used Canary, Avacado, and Glacier water colored pencils.
The papers are from the new Mix-in paper pack.
Cut out image and add to your card. My card pattern is # 20 from Make It From Your Heart IV.
If you don't like to fussy cut your image, choose a pattern that you can stamp the image on part of the pattern. I used pattern # 15 from Make It From Your Heart IV pattern book.

Stamp the image on the card part, color with water color pencils, and brush with your clear shimmer brush. Add to your finished card.

A Blast From the Past

With Color My Heart
My very first Color My Heart Challenge was May 28, 2012. The color challenge was purple. Here is my entry to that challenge: A New Color Dare. At that time I called the coloring technique a puddle pad. Just take a baby wipe to make a pad and puddle it with re-inkers and use as an ink pad
I used the same stamp and pattern for this notepad cover as I did in 2012 giving it an updated look. The colors I used for this Color My Heart challenge are Sapphire, Julep, and Eggplant.

Inside Notepad Cover

Purples, Blues, and Greens are always
fun to play with. Give it a try.

Happy Birthday

 AMERICA
As we celebrate our nation's birthday, I wish you a truck full of blessings and joy. As we pray for our country and our leaders, may the Lord fill our hearts with His love for all Americans. Blessings to you and your family as we celebrate together all that God has done to make our country rich beyond all imagination.
Have a blessed day, Jody

Use this inspiration photo to make a special
project to share with us at Color My Heart.

The truck card was inspired by my downline
Valerie Beechler.
