Find Your Style with the 2011 January Stamp of the Month

All you need for the New Year is this "Find Your Style" stamp set. This is a set of 9 stylish stamps that include a butterfly, bird, dress form, and a chic shoe along with the words "Friend," "Soar," "Love," and "Beautiful." It also has a friendship sentiment for the inside of your card or an accent on your scrapbook page. If you have come from Angela's blog
"cherish your memories" you are on the right path.

For my project I decided to update my wall hangings in my stamp room. My original "Welcome" sign was done with Boom-Di-Ada. To make my new one I removed the Boom-Di-Ada papers and recovered my chip board letters with the new "Wings" BTP and added some flowers and the butterfly and bird from the "Find Your Style" stamp set.

Then, I updated my "Love" Banner with the new "Wings" Level II paper pack and the "Find Your Style" stamps set. My old banner was made with the "Amore" paper pack and "Soul Mates Word Puzzle." The new ones really brighten the room with the added touch of the vineyard berry. This "Love" Banner is made with a 6 X 6 accordion album and the chip board Dimensional Element Monograms

A Chocolate Christmas Gift

It's homemade candies all wrapped in Mistletoe with a gift card in the corner. This weekend we had our annual fundraiser for the food bank. All the local crafters sell their wonderful handmade goodies at the Craft Boutique to raise money and take food donations for the local food bank. If you've been missing me on my blog I have been busy making my homemade items for the sale but now I'm back.
I met Chris at the Craft Boutique where she was selling her fabulous homemade candies. If you have seen the price of Sees candies, this box of homemade chocolate treats is a bargain. I got one for everyone in my family.
Now for the best part....Chris will come to my home and teach me and my friends how to make this fabulously scrumptious candy. Our Chocolate party is on December 11, just in time for Christmas gift making. (If you miss this one we will have another chocolate party for Valentines).
If you would like to know more about her candy treats you can contact her at

Thursday's Three With One

One Stamp Set (Snow Flurries D1384)= Three Winter Cards

Embossing on Heart 2 Heart

Dry embossing on satin ribbon: Cut your ribbon for the size of the card leaving 3/4" on each end. Cut a piece of typing paper the size of the width of the ribbon and the length of the place it will go on the card. Using Tombow adhesive completely cover the paper with the adhesive. Attach the paper to the back of the ribbon centered leaving 3/4" on each end. Emboss your ribbon with any embossing folder. The paper on the back will keep the embossed pattern firm on the ribbon. Fold the end pieces to the back and secure to your card.

For more embossing techniques visit the Heart 2 Heart blog all this week.
All supplies are CTMH:
Paper: Mistletoe
Card stock: Bamboo, Colonial White
Stamps: All the Best(from Mistletoe WOTG)
Ink: Olive, Bamboo
Embellishments: Mistletoe Assortment, Satin Ribbon
