All About Three

Three Colors, Cards, and Patterns

From the Love of Colors Challenge at Color My Heart I chose New England Ivy, Saffron, and Sapphire. Any green, yellow and blue color combination is always basic and appealing for most cards. I made three cards using my favorite Make It From Your Heart Vol. IV card patterns.

Color Challenge - Bluebird

Remember the Thoughtful Bird?

A color challenge from Heart 2 Heart.

This is a Bluebird from the Thoughtful Bird 

stamp set and Thin Cuts. I used bluebird 

first generation, second generation and Carolina 

for the bird.  The sentiment is Bluebird and 

the card is mounted on Bluebird cardstock.

Spruced Up

With Tic Tac Toe

Inspiration comes from Tic Tac Toe Color Dare #377.

I used the bottom row with Mink for the base,

 New England Ivy and Mink prints with a Sangria 

colored bird. The bird is colored using the 

reverse masking technique.

Reverse Masking

Masking is when you mask an image (the bird) and stamp around it with the branches.

Reverse masking is masking the surrounding area of an image to color the image.

To make a reverse mask stamp the image (birds) on some glossy cardstock. Cut out the image of the bird. Lay the cut out over the bird and color it with your ink pad and a sponge.

Heart 2 Heart is all Spruced Up with the winter

 birds from the Color Challenge at Color My Heart.

Loving the red and golden birds on the snowy

 branches in the inspiration photo below. So... just 

had to make this card with the snowflake 

embossed background.

Meets Atlantic Hearts

Before there was Thin Cuts there was fussy cutting. 

Recently I have decided to fussy cut and save

 money. Way back when I started at CTMH 

we had to fussy cut everything. So, for me,

 it seems to come naturally. If you don;t like to cut 

out images then Thin Cuts are for you. So, cut some 

images your way and share at Heart 2 Heart.

The sketch below at Atlantic Hearts is 

the inspiration for this card. Give it a try.

Something New

A Spinner Card

Heart 2 Heart invited us to try something new 

in the new year. So...I decided to give the new 

Spinner Thin a try. This thin cut set goes with 

2 stamp sets: Rainbow Wishes and I Chews You. 

I used the I Chews You stamp set to make this fun 

Valentine card. Now it's your turn to show us 

your new creation and share at Heart 2 Heart.

card for my brother. I wanted to use the Shaker 

Window Thin cut without making a shaker card.
