Resizing the Envelope

It's always nice to make a coordinating envelope to go with those special handmade cards. However, sometimes the envelope needs to be resized to fit the card.

Resizing Tutorial

 Cut the envelop on page 30 in the Art Philosophy Cricut booklet 1/4 inch larger than the length of the

 card. This envelope is cut at 5 3/4 inches.  Score at 3 1/2 inched down from the top fold.

Re cut the bottom flap to 2 1/4 inches. Reshape the side flaps.

Fold side flaps in and secure the bottom flap to the side flaps to make the envelope.

Cover the notch lines with 1/2 inch strip of coordinating paper.

It's A Spring Color Challenge

With Spring right around the corner Heart 2 Heart has a color challenge for us.  We get to play with the amazing Spring colors:  Sunkiss Yellow, Sky, and Sweet Leaf for a pretty pastel creation. My 5 X 7 card is cut from cricut Art Philosophy cartridge on page 54 of the booklet.

 In keeping with the spring theme I used bunnies from My Peeps stamps set and flowers cut from the cricut cartridge page 50.

Tag Trio Inspired by a Challenge

If you enjoy a challenge then you need to check out the Inspired by.. challenge Blog. Each week a new inspiration photo is our challenge. This week's photo inspired me to make some little boy pocket tags to use as needed. Each pocket holds something different.

This pocket holds a love note with a little bunny in the pocket. I didn't have a baby bear stamp so I used my bunny from My Peeps stamps set.

This pocket hold a gift of Studio J for that new arrival. That way mom can get those first photos scrapped with ease.

And Congratulations on the new arrival can always use money. I know that $1.00 is not near enough but this dollar was folded for me along time ago to fit in a pocket and I have been using it as a sample ever since.

Now, this is the inspiration photo for this week.

Use It or Lose It Inspiration

The Challenge: Use this picture for inspiration and scraps from your stash.

 I used the Lagoon and Pear cardstock with an accent color black for my project. I also wanted to try the On Line Project from the new Idea Book on page 108.  I also wanted to make coordinating envelopes. As for scraps they always work on 3X3 cards. For these cards I did retrieve some lagoon scraps from the trash. Almost lost them.

And a box for them to go in cut from the cricut cartridge page 21 in the cricut booklet.
