The Purple Fox

With Juniper, Thistle, and Hollyhock 

OK.I do have to say the color challenge at Color My Heart was

 really a challenge.For me personally, Thistle is my least favorite purple. 

Juniper is my least favorite green. But I really love Hollyhock. So... to

 put these three colors together on the same card was really a challenge.

Then I remembered my purple fox in the bush for the Thistle and Juniper.

But where to put the Hollyhock? So...Hollyhock greetings and a few flowers.

Then I used the ticket shaped card from Art Philosophy.

The Heart 2 Heart challenge this week in April the fourth Month

is to make a project inspired by the number four:

Four Fundamental Colors, Four Scrapbook Layouts

Using the four Spring Critter I made four borders for my spring scrapbook pages.

I used four colors from the Fundamental papers: 

Pixie, Sweet Leaf, Crystal Blue, & Canary

Valentine Treats

Easy Last Minute Treats

Fill a coke bottle with M & Ms and decorate the bottle with B&T paper 

and a glitter heart. Tie ribbon around the top and add a tag card.

Cut an Art Philosophy or Artiste box with White Daisy CS. Cut 

out a heart shaped window and cover the opening with an Overlay

of your choice. I used the polka dotted overlay. Fill the boxes

with your favorite Valentine candy treat.

Windblown Inchies

Having Fun with Inchies

Using the colors at Color My Heart color challenge I made some

fun inchies with the new Petite Perks: Windblown

Colors: Black, White, Whisper, and Slate

What are inchies? Small art pieces that come in inch sizes.

I used 1", 1.25", and 1.5" pieces of cardstock and B&T papers

layering them together and embellishing with mini sparkles,

sequins, and enamel gems.

What do you do with inchies? Add them to a card, a tag, a box, or a bag.

Use this card pattern and add your inchie.

 Cut a 3 X 4.5 tag. Add your inchie and cluster some random

leftovers from other projects on your tag.

Cut any box from a Cricut cartridge and add your inchie.

Water coloring the cut out shape from this card 

made another fun card with the leftovers for the

water color challenge at Heart 2 Heart.

Water coloring the cut out butterfly and adding the

white layering softens the water color look.

May is National Scrapbook Month

And Time to Celebrate with the New

When I scrapbook I usually choose my photos, then choose my papers

and cardstock, then my layout design. However for this new Taste

of Summer paper pack I have a fun new suggestion.  Grab your kids,

some popsicles, and your camera and head out to the park. Take some

great pictures and come back and add them to this layout.

Left page has places for that up close photo of your cute

little one enjoying that sweet taste of a popsicle.

Right page has a spot for a 5 X 7 group photo and some

 Add some color to the chevron pattern on this bag by using Shift

Overlay function in the Artbooking Cricut booklet page 44. Cut the

overlay at 3.5 inches RDS and use the chevron pattern on the bag.

Christmas Tree Ornaments

With Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge

Cut heart box @ 5 inches. Adhere box together, fill with

Christmas images and curly ribbon. Add ribbon to hang on tree. 

Cut box on page 23 in Cricut booklet @ 4 inches. 

Emboss with your favorite embossing folder. 

Add a winter scene on the front and back of box. 

Add ribbon and string to hang on the tree.

Cut box on page 22 in Cricut booklet @ 5.5 inches.

Stamp a background on the box and adhere together.

Add a decorative star, a ribbon bow and ribbon hanger.

Cut french fry box @ 5 inches. Add some decorative paper on

the front of the box. Cut a scalloped circle from some Christmas sheet

 music and secure to the front of the box with a filigree charm. Insert a lace 

doily and a piece of Christmas music into the french fry box. 

Add a handle and it's ready to hang on the tree.

Large box cut at 11", smaller box cut at 9" and layered together

Cut box at 4.5", adhere together leaving one flap up to form a 

pocket box. Insert a Ghirardelli, add a  gift tag and attach to your gift.

Art Philosophy Box #2

Cut at 7.5" for a small gift such as a small velvet box 

that holds a necklace or earrings.

Make three boxes at 4.5". Insert each box with a folded $bill topped

 with a Hershey nugget and put together in a Christmas basket.
