Cherish the Moment Blog Hop

Welcome to our May Stamp of the Month blog hop featuring Cherish the Moment. We all have moments that we want to remember either with a card or scrapbook page. This set of 8 tags makes it easy for any occasion to be remembered. If you have come from Haley's blog you are on the right path.

Get ready to Mix & Match with Splendor. The mix & match concept is fun, fast and especially easy with this stamp set. Just pick your paper pack, pick your layout(card or scrapbook page) and get ready to Mix & Match.

I used the new Splendor paper pack and the "Corner Shop" design from Wishes for my cards. I randomly cut the parts of the card using the six prints in the paper pack. I also used the back of the prints to add to the creative design of the Mix & Match concept. Follow these easy steps:

Using the stamp set Cherish the Moment stamp the images using random colors. I used Topiary, Goldrush, and Moonstruck and stamped 2 of each color. Cut each image out. Make six tags using your scraps randomly as you design each tag. Add your cut out images to the tags. Embellish with coordinating brads, flowers, buttons, ribbon, etc. I used the safety pins from the Autumn Garden Mini Medley Collection to adhere the tags to the cards.
Adhere your randomly cut parts of the card design and tie a ribbon around the front of the card.

Add your tag to your card. Remember this is Mix & Match so any tag will work on any card.

Adhere your randomly cut parts to two more cards and tie a ribbon around the front of the card.
Again, add your tag to the ribbon using the safety pin to attach to the bow.
Repeat the steps above to make two more cards.
Add your tag to the card.

After you've made the cards and tags you can keep them in a box with a section for the cards and a section for the tags until you are ready to Mix & Match for any cherished moment.

Slide a clear cover over the box to hold your cards and tags together. You are now ready to Cherish any Moment that may come your way. Note: The box and clear cover come from http://www.clearbags.com/.

New Summer Products

Welcome to our New Product Blog Hop. Forty-eight fabulous Close to my Heart consultants are celebrating the release of the new Summer Idea Book by showing you our creations with some of the wonderful new products. If you have come from Lisa Stenz's Creative Corner you are on the right path.

Close to my Heart clearly has the creative edge with our new 4 1/2" clear cards. When you want your message to come through loud and clear you will want to use these cards. For my project I made a set of Mix & Match Cards. Here's the new products you will need to make these cards:
  • Cherry-O Paper Pack X7123B
  • Chery-O Creative Basics X5810
  • You're Sweet B1351
  • Tasty Treats D1427
  • Opaques Cherry-O Gems Z1319
  • Tulip Mini Medley Collection Z1320
  • Clear Cards Z1309
You will also need:
  • Envelop Flats Z1244
  • Sweet Leaf Ribbon Round Z1125
  • Chocolate ribbon Round Z1127
To make your Mix & Match cards choose one round card design and one 4 1/2" square design card from Wishes. Using your six papers in your paper pack randomly cut the parts of the cards according to the design plan.

For the round cards I used "Inner Court" randomly cutting the parts from the 6 different prints.

For the square cards I used "Up in the Corner" randomly cutting the parts from the 6 prints.

Create these base cards by randomly cutting the parts of the card design from the six prints in the paper pack. Put each card together randomly and turn the card 1/4 turn each time. Because the prints all coordinate together, each card is different and gives a completely unique look. Sometimes the back side of the BTP looks better. It's nice to have options.
Create the square base cards by randomly cutting the parts of the card from the six prints in the paper pack. Put each card together randomly, turning 1/4 turn each time.

Create eight tags to be added to your base cards. Remember everthing can Mix & Match.

Using the envelop flats make eight 4 1/2" coordinating envelops with labels on the front.

Put them all together in a gift box with the card bases and envelops in one section of the box and the tags in another section of the box. They can be randomly put together as needed. The tags have peel and stick on the back for easy application to any card base.

Slide on a clear cover over the box to hold your cards and tags inside and send with love to your favorite person. Note: The box and clear cover come from http://www.clearbags.com/

Saturday Sweets

Best Cookies Ever
If you like sugar cookies, this is by far the best recipe I've found. This card is made from Wishes (Wrap Around) and has the recipe inside. The cookie cutter is tied on the front of the card. Just untie the cutter, make the dough, bake, and you're ready for some tasty treats. Decorate the cookies with frosting and share with family and friends.
