Wednesday Wishes Meets Color Me Monday

I used the card idea that I submitted to Close to My Heart that was featured on Jeanette's blog this week. These circle cards are fun but they're even more fun with the CD envelope to match.

And of course these "Got the Blues" colors are really cool. For Moonstruck I used the card stock and the back of BTP in Route 66, for Heavenly Blue I used card stock, ribbon round, and brads, for Outdoor Denim I used card stock, ribbon round and brads. The stamp set is Friendship Blessings (D1191).

Refrigerator Magnet Calendar

This is a magnetic calendar for the refrigerator door. It is made using a 4 X 4 coaster covered with Animal Cookies Level II paper pack (X7112B). The numbers are from the Foam Die Cuts that coordinate with the Animal Cookies paper pack. The magnetic clip is from the office supply store and is embellished with gross grain ribbons tied to the clip. The flowers are punched using white daisy with sunflower center circles. Easy project for any group.

Wednesday Wishes Meets Color Me Monday

I just knew Jeanette would do it again. Fun and unusual color combinations. In case you're wondering how I decide to create the cards from "Color Me Monday" I will tell you. After I check Jeanette's blog for the colors I get card stock samples of those colors and put them together. Then I re-arrange the combinations until I see one I really like. For this combination I really liked the desert sand, creme brulee, and sorbet for the main colors. Then I just used cranberry for a touch of accent color.

This week I decided to make the 41/2 X 41/2 card designs from Wishes. The top two cards are "Up In The Corner" and "Curtain Call." The bottom two cards are "Folded Focus" and "Corner Shop." Desert Sand is card stock, Creme Brulee is from Bella, Sorbet is from Evensong and for Cranberry I used the brads and gross grain ribbon. The flowers are made from Cottage Floral (B1306) with cranberry, creme brulee, sorbet and desert sand inks.

Wednesday Wishes Meets Color Me Monday

This week I decided to make the new 3 X 6 size cards from Wishes. The card on the left is "Long Layers" and the card on the right is "Fancy File" with the inserted message. Again, Jeanette used a challenging color combination but I'm finding them really fun and inspiring.
I used the BTP from Sweet Pea Level II(7093B) and the marker for the Key lime color. For Hollyhock, Baby Pink, and Grey Wool I used card stock. I embellished with Hollyhock Ribbon Round and Spring buttons. The featured Stamp set is a new card sentiment set called TLC(C1364). The flowers on the Long Layers card are from the June word puzzle(D1288).

Wednesday Wishes Meets Color Me Monday

Today's cards are made with "Simple Expression" and "Delight ful Dots" from Wishes. I took the inspiration from Jeanette's use of heavenly blue for the sky colors and clover meadow for the shades of green in the outdoors.
For the outdoor images I used the trees (C1368)and of course my favorite turtle (B1309). It seems that when ever I use clover meadow I think of that turtle.
The tree is embellished with heavenly blue buttons, colonial white buttons, bamboo paper flowers, and heavenly blue and bamboo brads.

July's Blog Hop featuring "You've Got Flair"

Welcome to our July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. We will be featuring July's SOTM, "You've Got Flair." This is a set of 8 stamps featuring lacy Victorian swirls and flourishes. If you like to color in then this set is for you.
If you have come from Carla's Blog, you are on the right path. If this is your first stop, you may want to go back to Jena's Blog and start from the beginning.
This month we have 46 Close to my Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one. Here we go!

For my card I used the circle card "Simple Statement" from Wishes. I covered a CD envelop with the BTP paper from Emporium Basics and inserted the card. I'm not big on coloring in so I stamped the image with twilight ink on colonial white and bamboo, cut out the sections and layered together. I only colored the smallest parts possible. I added sparkles to give it some "Flair." I used the rhinestone square frame cut in half from the current Connections Club Reward.

To see more samples using this stamp set visit my post Wednesday Wishes meet Color me Monday just below.

Now "Hop" on over to Heather's Blog to see her work. Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas. Wednesday Wishes Meets Color Me Monday

Jeanette's Color Me Monday colors were great for 4th of July. Her artwork is oustanding. If you're having a 4th of July party you should check it out.

I decided to use the July Stamp of the Month for my Wednesday Wishes cards. The 5 X 7 Wishes designs are "Medallion," and "Confidential." I used Emporium Basics for the twilight, textured cardstock for the desert sand, outdoor denim cardstock with outdoor denim ribbon round, and twilight & cranberry markers for those colors. The images are stamped in outdoor denim ink. I added the sparkles to give it a little flair.
