Heart 2 Heart has a new color challenge for us this week.
Let's play with Juniper, Autumn Terracotta, and Bamboo.
I'm so sorry to say that Juniper is not a color that I usually care for so this challenge was well, let's say extremely challenging. Since I was out of the box with the colors I decided to go out of the box with my creativity and try a water color. That way I could mute the Juniper color with water. If you like Juniper you should really like this challenge.
Water Color Technique: Stamp your image on your cardstock. Spray a light mist of water on a My Acrylix block. Press your stamp in the water and and stamp it over the inked image. The water will spread the ink to look like water color. The Autumn Terracotta flowers are stamped first, second, third, and fourth generations. Then stamp with the water. After the card dries you can add some Cocoa dots to the center of the flowers with a marker.
Not that I'm a fan of this color combination but I wanted to make those cute flowers that are on page 86 in the Autumn/Winter Idea Book. They are really fun to make. I just used Autumn Terracotta first and second generations to make the flower. I used the Juniper buttons for the flower centers. (Not too much Juniper). Now it's your turn. Gather your Close to my Heart supplies and the three colors and let the creativity flow. Be sure to post your creation at Heart 2 Heart and you could win some terrific prizes from our sponsors Jena and Nichole.
