The last day of Sneak Peeks. This is my favorite item

 in the new Idea Book. I like all things butterfly.

This Butterfly embossing folders comes with stencils

 to add color and dimension to the butterflies. The embossing 

folder is a slim line folder but it can also be used for a standard card.

Meets Atlantic Hearts

Sending a Valentine with my daughter's favorite colors: purple and blue.

Added a little green Sage for the leaves. Somehow,

 flowers without leaves just don't work.

Atlantic Hearts

Meets Color My Heart

I've been having fun with the new 5X7 cards and envelopes from Close To My Heart. 

For this card I couldn't decide to use the round doily or the heart doily. I chose the heart doily because the person receiving this card has blessed my heart more than words can say. 

The new Envelope Flap Thin Cut make a beautiful coordinating

envelope along with the Happy Mail seals.

                  

The colors at Color My Heart colored my heart flowers just right.

Happy New Year

With Anything Goes at Color My Heart

Anything Goes is just right for a New Years card. Not only did I chose a blast from the past stamp set I also picked colors from the past for the glitter stars. My glitter stars are Blue Belle, Sugarplum, Julep, and a new color Periwinkle. The stars are embellished with glitter gems and I used the clear Shimmer Brush to sparkle everything else.

Heart 2 Heart Challenge

My Heart 2 Heart Color Challenge: 2012

Use Black & White with 1 other color.

In 2012 I used Twilight with Black & White for my tag collection.

In  those days we made our fancy tags and shapes with the Cricut.

Today in 2023 we have Thin Cuts to make our fancy shapes and tags.

 I used  Black & White with my favorite new color Periwinkle 

As we play Full Circle at Heart 2 Heart, it is with sadness that we say 

goodbye to this fun and awesome challenge site. I will miss your 

challenges and all the creative designers who have inspired us

I used Mulberry for the base and the Heart. Added a Wisteria Rose with

leaves stamped in Sage and rolled in  Pine.

A Color Challenge

At Color My Heart

This week's colors were not fitting into my working on Christmas cards. Then I was looking at our Christmas tree with some bright colored ornaments. So I grabbed my ornament stamp set and made some brightly colored ornaments for my card. Thanks Color My Heart for this unusual color combination at Christmas time.

Oh Happy Day

My favorite cardmaking kit comes from the new Cherish

 collection. I used Wisteria for the base and Mist for the bordered

 thin cut. The flowers are Melon and Wisteria with the branches in Mist.

I've been working on some folded paper trees for Christmas

 cards this year. This one is my favorite. You can view my other

I used the recipe "Winning Combination" from the How to Book 

 Originals to make my card. My favorite Sugar Cookie Recipe

is enclosed in the card when I send it out. 

I used row 1 on the Tic Tac Tow color board for my

 color combination: Scarlet, Flamingo, and Glacier.

On Thanksgiving Day

Hope your day is full of the Lord's richest blessings as you

 celebrate Thanksgiving Day.

I know my card is unusual colors for Thanksgiving but

Honey Butter is a great Thanksgiving color and Sapphire is

one of my favorite colors. So have a Happy and Blessed Day.

BE Merry, Be Warm, Be Cozy

We had a fun sketch this week at Atlantic Hearts and the colors

 from the 6 Pack at Color My Heart made this card fun

 and easy to make. The colors are Wisteria, Periwinkle, 

and Seabrook. The new snowflake die cuts are embellished

 with silver Glitter Gems.

Getting ready for Christmas with a folded paper tree.

Tic Tac Toe colors are row three: Scarlet, Pine, and Toffee.

The folded tree has a glitter star at the top and a Toffee trunk.

The Merry Christmas banner is Scarlet and Pine.

Triple Play

I used these triple play colors from Color My Heart 

for a special birthday card for a special friend. The stencil

 from the Cherish cardmaking collection with the three stencils

 made the Stencil It challenge at Heart 2 Heart 

really fun to make. I'm going to have to make more.

It's Tic Tac Toe Time

I've been working on my Christmas cards. It was hard to decide which 

Tic Tac Toe colors to use.

I finally decided on the top row: Harbor, Shortbread, and Scarlet.

I really like to add gold or silver to my cards but that will be for

another day. I did add the Shortbread colored liquid pearls

 on the berries. Liquid pearls are a fun addition to holiday cards.
