 Water Color

At Heart 2 Heart the new water color challenge gave

me the opportunity to bring out my water brushes.

My favorite way to water color is to use the coordinating

ink pad and the water brush to add the color.

This is a close up of the water colored flowers and leaves.

For this technique cut your desired shapes and lay them on

the Versa Mat or a water proof surface. Spray them with a

light mist of water. Use your water brush to pick up ink color

from the lid of your ink pad. Touch the wet image with the

inked brush and it will spread across the wet image. To get the

two tone color on the leaves I used Emerald with a touch of Lemon.

My daughter's family is headed out for the blue skies of Hawaii 

this week for their annual Summer adventure. So I made this card

 for them with a special note and a little surprise inside for them to enjoy.

Colors from Color My Heart and the No Worries paper pack 

made this card fun and easy to make.

Sometimes living in Southern California it's

cactus time. I'm not too much of a desert person but the happy

dancing cactus are ready to party. Adding some party pennants

helps with the party celebration.

With a Sketch From

Atlantic Hearts and two CTMH paper packs.

 One of the fun things about this current Seasonal Expressions is you

 can mix and match the papers from different packs. On this card I

 mixed the No Worries paper pack with the Prickly Pear paper pack

The flowers and leaves were cut with White Daisy and

sponged with Raspberry and Fern ink.

This fun sketch from Atlantic Hearts was used to make my card.

A Heart 2 Heart Color Challenge

With Emerald, Blossom, and Lemon

One of my downline gave me a new fun stamp set from Heartfelt Creations.

I normally only use CTMH products but this flower stamp set

was so pretty I had to give it a try. 

With the colors at the Heart 2 Heart challenge it seemed just perfect

to play with this stamp set. I colored the flower with Blossom

and Lemon and the leaves with Emerald and Lemon to soften

the boldness of the Emerald green.

Color Challenge 246

Mixing it up with Colors of No Worries

This is a real color challenge at Color My Heart this week:

Cocoa, Lemon, Smoothie, Sea Glass, Cashmere, and White Daisy.

As a consultant, sometimes my customers or downline give me a gift.

Now what do you give a die hard CTMH product user? Something that is

not CTMH. Right? Well, one of my downline gave me a new flower stamp

set from Heartfelt Creations. ( At least the Heart was in the company name).

Anyway when I checked the artwork using this stamp set I had to give it a try.

The colors at this week's Color My Heart were just right for this Sunrise Lily.

In case you're wondering where the Sea Glass is I sponged the leaves with it

and Cashmere. Somehow the straight Sea Glass was not working with this flower.
