Signing Off With a Blast

Of Color
This is my last project for Heart 2 Heart on the Design Team. It has been a blast. I'm sure you have all enjoyed the amazing creations brought to you by our Heart 2 Heart Design Team this last six months. I will miss being part of such a creative group of ladies but new designers will be coming on board to share their amazing and special creations. You won't want to miss one single week with the new teams.

The challenge this week is to share what colors make you happy. I decided to use
this happy color time to make myself set of  monogrammed cards using my favorite

It's Father's Day in the Rose Blossom Garden

An Envelope Surprise
In the Rose Blossom Garden we're using the Father's Day Key on the Artiste cartridge.
Use the envelope to make this handy coupon holder for Dad.
Cut the envelope at 4 3/4 inches. Fold the envelope and secure the sides with adhesive.
Leaving the envelope flap open fold it in half length wise. Cut the flap in half.
Secure one half of the flap to the front of the envelope. Leave the other half loose.
Cover each side of the envelope with B&T paper. On the side with the open flap
use a circle punch to punch a half circle leaving an opening to insert your coupons.

Make coupons to insert in the envelope opening.
Now it's your turn to share your father's day creation in the Rose Blossom Garden.

Tool Time

For Guy Cards
This week's challenge at Heart 2 Heart is to use your favorite tools on your project. I wanted to make a card for our #1 Dad for  Father's Day. My favorite tools are the ones I use for texturing: embossing stylist, sanding kit, piercing tool, and the clear ruler.
#1 Super Dad Card
The embossing stylist is used to make faux stitching and embossed lines on the cardstock

Use stylist to emboss lines on the edge of your cardstock.

Use stylist to emboss textured lines on your cardstock.
The sanding tools are used to bring up the white core in the cardstock after embossing with the stylist

Sand embossed lines to expose the white core

Use the piercing tool to make holes on the sanded line to make faux stitching.
Pierce the sanded lines at even intervals to resemble stitching lines.

Use the clear ruler to pierce stitching holes for stitching with needle and thread.
Pierce zig zag holes or straight holes for needle and thread stitching.
Assemble card using all the different textured parts.
Now it's your turn to share your favorite tool(s) with us at Heart 2 Heart.
