Color Challenge Plus at Heart 2 Heart

This week's challenge at Heart 2 Heart is to use the colors Crystal Blue and Amethyst on your artwork. The plus part of the challenge (should you choose to accept it) is to add some glitter to your artwork.

I've been wanting to try some of those cut out cards made with our Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  This one is on page 67 of the Cricut booklet. I cut the Amethyst 4 3/4 and a white daisy 4 1/4 to get the smaller frame on the inside. I inked the white daisy with crystal blue to get the blue frame. The only glitter is the now retired glitter brad and each flower has a sparkle in the center.
Now it's your turn to share with us at Heart 2 Heart your creation using crystal blue and amethyst.
CTMH Supplies:
Cardstock: White Daisy Amethyst
Ink: Amethyst, Crystal Blue
Stamps: Love Life

Word of the Week: Believe

A new journal to record my word studies.

Believe: to have faith or trust. As I was working on this word this week I was again amazed at how many times that word came into my life. I should have taken count. I decided to make my journal with "believe" on the front to remind me to keep my faith and trust the Lord always. I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day. II Timothy 1:12

Sharing From the Heart Blog Hop

Welcome to the January Sharing From the Heart Blog Hop. If you have come from Patti's blog you are on the right path.  This month we are featuring valentines, winter, and the January Stamp of the Month.

A Valentine Heart Pocket
Use this pattern to make a valentine pocket on your card. You can fill the pocket with valentine treats, sweet  messages, or more hearts. I filled mine with a tea bag and added a tea cup on the front of the pocket. And for a sneak peak I used some new BTP coming your way on February 1.
Thanks for hopping with us this month and we'll see you next month on the blog hop trail. Now it's time to hop over to Diana's Stamping Spot to see what treasures she has for you.

It's A New Challenge at Heart 2 Heart

The Challenge: It's a new year so we want you to find a stamp that you haven't used yet and put it to use!! Or, if you have used them all (good for you!), find one that hasn't seen any ink in awhile and get stamping with it!!  Be sure to share your special project with us at Heart 2 Heart.

I'm getting ready for my Valentines Workshop and I've been wanting to make Valentine cards with those cute little animals in the Zoology stamp set. I used the ticket in the stamp set but the animals were virgin.  I made one valentine for a girl and one for a boy. And for a sneak peek I used some New BTP coming to you in February.

These little Valentines are from Originals: Bow Front, Greeting Insert, Locket, and Sunset.

Now it's your turn to show us your new stamps at Heart 2 Heart.

Hope: Word of the Week

I'm starting something new for this year. I've been wanting to do a word study each week and practice the word for a week. With the first day of the new year starting on the first day of the week I decided to study the word "Hope."  The dictionary defines Hope as the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best.  The Bible says that we are saved by the Hope (Romans 8:24) that lives in us
(I Peter 3:15). Then with all the chaos in the world today Titus 2: 13 seems to stand out the most: Looking for that blessed Hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our savior Jesus Christ.

After my study I wanted to make a card using the word Hope. I made this tri-fold card.
Inside the tri-fold card
Word Study in 5 steps:
1. Choose a word
2. Learn the meaning of the word for your life.
3. Study some scriptures using the word.
4. Look for that word in your everyday life.
5. Keep a journal and write down how this word has affected your life.

Scrapbook with Heart 2 Heart

Having Granddaughters is truly a blessing.  My son's girls Alicyn and Alexis are twins and my daughter's daughter is Ashley. When they get together they ask grandpa to take their picture. I put together a collection of the three of them from 2004-2011. I used the sketch from Heart 2 Heart to make this layout.

To make a coordinating page I rotated the sketch 180 degrees.
And voila, I have a 2 page layout. I am using layout this for my January Scrapbook Class.
Heart 2 Heart has other beautiful sketches to play with so visit often and catch up on your scrapbooking.
