School Time in the Rose Blossom Garden

With Artbooking School Layout
Rose Blossom Garden Challenge #11: School theme using the
"Z" key in Cricut Artbooking booklet page 68.
Ten years ago, Zachary started Kindergarten and had his 5th birthday all in
September 2003. Fast forward ten years, school started in August and his
15th birthday is today September 17. Happy Birthday Zach.
This layout is inspired by the layout I made ten years ago.
It was fun to up date with current scrapbooking trends.
Page 1 uses the calendar overlay for the background of the
first day of tenth grade. The calendar title uses the border piece.
Page 2 uses the Photo Mat for this layout with "Ready" photos (getting ready),
a "Set" photo with books and backpack all set, and a "Go" photo getting
in the car to go to school. I used the icon to say "Hello, grade 10."
Now you have until the end of the month to play with us in the Rose Blossom Garden
and share your school themed idea. Come play with us in the garden.
CTMH Supplies:
B&T Duos: Babycakes
Cardstock: Garden Green, Sky, Sorbet, White Daisy
Ink: Garden Green, Sky, Sorbet, Black

Color Dare 60

Cheerful Colors of Sarita:
Goldrush, Outdoor Denim, Gypsy, Lagoon, with optional Cotton Candy.
To make this even more cheerful I used White Daisy for my card
with the ink colors of this challenge at Color My Heart.

I recently made a two page layout using the new Cricut cartridge
Artbooking and had some hexagons left over from the overlay. Not wanting
to toss the leftovers, I used them with the Honeycomb stamp set and the
challenge colors for this card. Fun and easy to use leftovers.
So grab your "Sarita" colors and share with us your colorful
creation at Color My Heart this week.
CTMH Supplies:
B&T Duos: Sarita
Cardstock: Outdoor Denim, Lagoon, White Daisy
Ink: Goldrush, Outdoor Denim, Lagoon, Gypsy
Stamps: Holiday Tags, Honeycomb

H2H Color Challenge

Sunset, Barn Red, Cashmere and Gypsy
A real color challenge is going on at Heart 2 Heart this week.

What fun! What to do? Thinking cap on!

Cashmere and Gypsy: Your guess is as good mine.
Put them all together and what do you get?
If you're up for a challenge this is it. For my project, I made wrappers
for some "Smarties" and put them in a cricut cut french fry box. I used
Gypsy for my main color to make this a cheerful Halloween treat,
accenting with the other colors to complete the color challenge.
Now, we really want to see your color creations at the

We're Blog Hoppin' With "You Are My Happy"

Celebrate National Stamping Month
With A Sarita Card Collection
Sarita's bright and cheerful colors will just seem to go with "You Are My Happy"
stamp set trio. This stamp set includes some wonderful sayings, an alphabet set
and some cute icons to go with the sayings. The icon stamps are open stamps
so they will need some coloring  of some sort. I'm not a fan of open stamps so I
will share some easy ways to enhance your stamps with different techniques.
If you have come from Katy's scrappinkaty blog you are on the right path.
Card Holder for the Sarita Card Collection
Tone on tone stamping adds dimension to your open stamps

Paper piecing is a good way to use open stamps.
Stamp the image on one color cardstock and stamp the same image with
