Photo Inspiration Challenge at Heart 2 Heart

This week's challenge at Heart 2 Heart is to create your project using the photo below.
When I first saw this photo I  was inspired by the shower curtain.
It reminded me of the card pattern "Oval Solitaire" from Originals.
The pink and orange colors are random stamped using Cotton Candy and Sorbet

Dotty For You Meets the A Team

Tri-fold Tag Card
The Spring/Summer Idea Book has ten A size stamp sets.
The one I used on this card is "A Blossom."
It has two flowers, a flower center, and two sentiments.

To make the tri-fold tag card cut two tag cards using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.
Layer the two cards together. This card has a belly band to hold it shut.
Inside the card has a sentiment and a space for a personal note.

Stamps: A Blossom

Dotty For You Goes Two for One

This card is for two Heart 2 Heart Challenges. I missed last week's sketch challenge and I really liked the sketch so I used it for this week's challenge: Stitching (sew fun). Anytime stitching is called for I'm ready.

I added stitching across the band and used it to hold the greeting on the card.

The flowers have a french knot in the center of each one.

Original sketch                                        Rotated Sketch
I rotated the original sketch 180 degrees to make my card.

Now lets see your stitching. It can be sewing machine, hand, or faux stitching.
It's sew fun and we want to see yours at Heart 2 Heart.

Use It or Lose It Challenge #5

Stress Reliever: Altered Paper Scraps

With Tax day coming soon if you need a little stress relief just grab some scraps,
stamp on them tone on tone and you're ready to
create that favorite card or scrapbook page.
In my case I grabbed these scraps out of the trash can.
I had to clean up quickly after a previous  project.
Then I cut the tails to form banners and stamped on each one tone on tone. The longer border is dry embossed using the stylus in the cutting track of my paper trimmer and then sanded to expose the white core. A border stamp was stamped in between each scored line. This process took just 3 minutes. I put my altered scraps away until I had time to create my card.
Now if you need just three minutes of stress relief give this a try. After you've completed your project please share with us at Use It or Lose It.
Also, if you don't want those scraps to be lost there are many ideas at Use It or Lose It.
